About the Author

Gene Perret is a former writer for several television shows, including "All in the Family," "Laugh-In," "Mama's Family," and "The New Bill Cosby Show." He is a former staff member for "The Carol Burnett Show," which won three Emmies during his stint, and a former producer for "Three's Company" and "Welcome Back, Kotter." He has written for comedian Phyllis Diller, is the former head writer for Bob Hope, and is the author of "The New Comedy Writing Step by Step." He lives in Los Angeles.
