Overview

When a former assassin retires to a sleepy Northwest town, dumb luck lands him directly across the street from the town gossip, the busiest busybody around. Common sense says to stay away. Unfortunately, the curious town tattler has a far different idea in mind.

Tor Richardson, author of "Mission: Malibu" and "Starting Over," presents a light-hearted tale where small-town manners clash with modern-day habits. With a colorful flair and a touch of understandable paranoia, "Furious and the Nosey Neighbor" is an amusing story that readers will enjoy to the very end.

About the Author

I'm Tor Richardson.

I was born and raised in Seattle. While I've traveled extensively throughout the nation, I still like Seattle a lot. I don’t actually live in the city, but I’m close enough to see it out the window—along with the mountains and the trees and the lakes and the blue skies... I mean... the rain. We don't have sunshine in Seattle (at least, that's what we tell everyone else).

Unlike most other writers, I don’t have a pet cat. Sorry to disappoint. My family did have a rather independent tomcat when I was young, however. He was king of the yard. I once watched him drop from a tree onto the back of a dog who'd invaded his backyard. He rode that black lab like a cowboy, using his claws as spurs and slapping that poor dog on the head as it went yowling back up the road. Mittens taught me that cats need room to roam. I don't have that right now, so no pet cat for this writer.

After college, I spent about fifteen years working my way up the ladder in a big insurance company, mostly in the accounting area. During that time, I went out of my way to sneak time to write short stories, although not at work. Eventually, I began to wonder if there might be another life besides that of a businessman. Now, I know.

In the end, I made the transition to a full-time fiction writer, writing under several pen names. In fact, Tor Richardson is one of those pen names—one of my favorites because he writes a lot of mysteries.
